Abbaye des Vaux-de-Cernay
The Elusis Portal in the spa of a twelfth-century Cistercian abbey in the Chevreuse Valley. Every soundtrack is composed for the installation, and no two sessions are exactly alike.

The brief
Accor wanted to test a flagship wellbeing experience inside one of its most contemplative properties, and it had to feel native to the place. The Portal stands in the spa’s Rejuvenation Lounge.
What we made

Elusis Portal
A reclining bed, a vibroacoustic mattress and sixteen loudspeakers in one enclosure. Its acoustics were modelled with Amadeus before a single speaker went in.

Spatial sound
HOLOPHONIX Native turns the circular array into one 3D field. Nature recordings, acoustic instruments and textures move as individual sound objects: the listener doesn’t hear speakers, they hear a world.

Composed content
Every soundtrack is composed for the installation. Our engine blends and sequences the musical layers, so no two sessions are exactly alike.
